Where to Use
SUPERPLASTICIZER is used on job sites where cement grouting operations are undertaken,
such as tunnels, shafts, dams and other heavy civil construction projects, for grouting of large
concrete structures, rock grouting, soil grouting, construction of grout curtains and for soil
stabilization projects.
How to Use
Mix water and cement in appropriate proportions to create a homogeneous cement slurry using
a paddle mix tank, high-shear mixer or colloidal grout mixer.
Add SUPERPLASTICIZER to the pre-blended cement slurry in the grout mix tank; continue mixing
for at least one minute before transfer to the grout agitator tank.
Typical SUPERPLASTICIZER dosages for cement grouting range from 1% to 4% by weight of
cement (400 ml to 1600 ml per 40 kg bag of cement).
Limitations
• Maintain SUPERPLASTICIZER in temperatures above freezing;if frozen, SUPERPLASTICIZER
shall be thawed and mechanically agitated prior to use
• Test batches shall be prepared on the job site to verify cement grout characteristics
• Add to cement slurry independent of other grout additives

Advantages
SUPERPLASTICIZER enables fluid cement grout mixtures to be formulated on the job site to
accommodate specific site conditions that may be encountered. It is compatible with various
types of cement, including regular cement, high early strength cement, sulfate-resistant cement
and microfine cement, as well as with other grouting admixtures
